American Fine Wine Invitational
The American Fine Wine Invitational celebrates a decade of promoting the finest wines produced in the United States and to be invited to participate in the “mock” Wine Judging event, thrills me to say the least! Seriously…who wouldn’t want to participate in a wine judging event!?!?! This may be the one wine competition in the country, since it is by invitation only, that places quality over quantity and highlights American produced wine as a global powerhouse.
The 10th annual American Fine Wine Invitational Judging takes place on January 15 and 16 at FIU’s Chaplin School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, including the press mock wine judging. Immediately following, all 800+ wines from the judging will be available for the public to taste at “The After Party”. Admission to “The After Party” is $65pp, and proceeds from the event benefit the Chaplin School.

AFWI CHARITY WINE GALA– April 29, 6:30- 11:00PM the top winners will be showcased at the American Fine Wine Charity Gala at the DCOTA in Dania Beach. Many of the winemakers, plus four iconic AFWC “Vintners and Winemakers of the Year,” including Pam Starr form Crocker & Starr, Greg LaFollette from Alquimista and Ancient Oak, Ron Fenolio from Veedercrest, and Violet Grgich from (where else?) Grgich Hills, will be in attendance pouring their wines for wine enthusiasts and philanthropists from around the country.
